We work to reclaim and restore forests, streams, and communities in central Appalachia.
We are partnering with leading experts to re-establish productive native hardwood forests and restore water quality on abandoned mountaintop removal and other large scale surface mine sites in our region.
We are also developing a regional economic and workforce development program to grow a apiculture (beekeeping) and native plant horticulture industry in central Appalachia. We are training people in the skills necessary to become capable entrepreneurs, empowering workers to participate in lucrative, sustainable industries.
